Diana Muhammad is a Professional Dancer / Choreographer and Educator in Chicago, IL. Diana earned her Bachelor of Science degree from De Paul University in Elementary Education. She has attended North Eastern Illinois University and Columbia College for extended studies in Dance and Physical Education. Diana began her dance career in 1996 with the Debra Richards Dancers and was featured on Showtime at the Apollo in New York. She is the founder of DADA Dance Connections (2008) and a former company member at large of the Najwa Dance Corps (2005). In addition to training in Ballet, African/Caribbean, Modern and Jazz/Tap dance forms, Diana is also a trained vocal coach, musician (Doralyn Academy of Music) and special events coordinator. Diana has taught the arts, languages arts and history in Chicago Public Schools since 2004 and served as the Assistant Director of Chicago’s All City Dance Ensemble from 2011-2013. She is the former Curriculum Director at Right At School and currently attending law school at De Paul University to continue studies in Corporate Business law. She combined visions with Ayesha Jaco in 2010 and has served in the Executive Director role since 2012. Diana is committed to building excellence in art, education and character in young people!
